North Valley Metal is one of the country's leading suppliers of Electrical Operators, Components and Electrical Control Systems for the Industrial Door, Garage Door, Automated Gate and Automated Entrance Systems markets.
Established in 1966, NVM has not forgotten its roots and is the largest supplier of Industrial Roller Shutter Components in the UK, supplying Castings, Engineered Products, Transmission & Gearing and Chain Operated Shutter Components, backed by a wealth of experience that only 55 years in the industry can bring, and we are proud to be the oldest supplier to this market in the country.
NVM has not rested on its laurels either, and over the course of 55 years has diversified into all aspects of the Door Industry. We offer a comprehensive range of Door Operators for Industrial Roller Shutter Doors, Sectional Doors, High Speed Doors and Garage Doors, all supported by an extensive range of Control Systems including Remote Control, Switches and an array of Safety Devices.
Many of the electrical products we supply are a natural progression from our Manually Operated Shutter products, such as our range of Direct Drive Motors with Digital Limits, Tube Motors, Flange Motors and Fire Shutter Motors, to our Garage Door Systems, Control Systems and so on.
But we also made a concious decision to offer the widest range of products we possibly can and with this in mind we introduced an in depth range of quality Automated Swing and Sliding Gate products from Italy and range of Automated Entrance Systems including Swing Door Operators and Auto Sliding Doors, all fully supported with Sensors, Access Control and Safety Control conforming to EN16005
We have introduced a range of Stocked Steel Door Sets in Fire Exit and Personnel options, and range of Bespoke Made to Measure Steel Doorsets including Fire Rated & Certified Doors up to 4 Hours rating and High Security Doors to LPS Level 4.
The final piece in our jigsaw was the introduction of our High Speed Door range of products. These include Rapid Roll Up Doors, Fold Up Doors and Doors specifically designed for the Food Industry, all supported by an extensive range of Spares and backed up with Technical support by qualified High Speed Door Engineers.
It is true that North Valley Metal has come a long way since it introduced castings to the fledgeling shutter market in 1966. But one thing has always remained the same, our desire to serve our customers and offer the widest possible choice of quality products we can.
Our Engineering facility is well equipped to produce and array of Door Components including gears, sprockets, shafts, bearing blocks and discs etc., along with an extensive range of machined castings in grey iron, malleable iron and aluminium, using modern CNC machines for turning, milling and drilling. Our Fabrication facility can produce Wicket Gates, Endplates, Discs, or even bespoke Door Components.
Service
We believe in serving you, the customer, with good stock support to meet the fluctuating demands of todays production needs. Production is geared to quick turn around of orders, large or small, and is capable of supplying bespoke replacement parts for urgent breakdown repairs on a next day service. None urgent goods are despatched using a competitive local transport service or where possible delivered using our own vehicles.
Finishing
We offer a variety of metal finishes, including electroplating, electrostatic powder coating, chemical blacking and hot dipped galvanising. All our castings are produced to British Standards BS1452 1977 and BS2789 1973. Our bespoke Steel Doors can be manufactured to LPS Level 4 and our Fire Rated Steel Doors carry rating cretificates up to 4 hours. Our Tube motors and electronic controllers all carry the CE and TUV marks.
Many of our critical safety and security devices are sourced through a network of European suppliers including Germany, Holland & Italy. These include Safety Sensors, Safety Edge Devices & Photocells, UPS Devices and Security Locks.
