Locks & Isolators

North Valley Metal offer a comprehensive range of Locks, Security Locks, Armoured Padlocks, Bullet Locks, Pin Locks Ground Locks and Isolators.

Bullet Locks and Pin Lock Housings are available from stock in Chrome or Brass finish and with Steel, Malleable Cast, Aluminium and Forged Housings.

Bullet Locks are available with an Oval Head or a Round Head and as Keyed Alike (Suited) or Random (Keyed to differ)

A range of Isolators are available to suit various applications including Wicket Gates, Industrial Doors, Roller Shutter Doors, Shop Fronts and Sectional Doors.

Isolators are designed to protect the Electric Motor by creating a breaker. A common problem in the industry, particularly with Shop Front Shutters, where the Bullet Locks are not removed from the Pin Lock Housing before the Shutter is operated. This causes the Tubular Motor, Direct Drive Motor or Flange Motor to run whilst the Door is still locked, and eventually burns out the motor, which would require replacing.

Any Shutter, Wicket Gate, Shop Front or Industrial Door fitted with an Isolator can not be operated of the until the Bullet Locks, Padlocks, Wicket Gates or other security device has been removed.

NVM also stock and supply a range of Ground Lock Units and Padlocks. Ground Locks are designed to fit flush into the floor to prevent any trip hazzards and to enable the secure locking of the shutter from the outside using a Security Pad Lock or Armoured Pad Lock.

NVM offer a range of Padlocks in 80mm, 85mm and 90mm sizes, and with Armoured or Hardened body.

Security Padlocks include Cisa brand whilst NVM also stock Yale Night Latches.

Centre Locks for Roller Shutters and Industrial Doors are available in 3 sizes from Ultra Narrow to Standard Central Types, and stocked in Keyed to Differ and Keyed Alike. Spare Keys are also available.

Centre Locks are fitted to the bottom rail of the Roller Shutter, Shop Front Shutter or Industrial Door to allow access from the outside. The Centre Lock is fitted to the inside with only the Brass Lock protruding through the rail. 2 Bars extend from the Centre Lock to the edges of the Roller Shutter and locate into 2 keepers or into the guide through slots. The combination of a Centre Lock and a Ground Lock provides a very secure Roller Shuttter or Shop Front Shutter.
