Spring Blocks

Spring Blocks are used in Barrels where Torsion Springs are required. Generally, Industrial Doors and Roller Shutter Doors use Spring Blocks when the door requres to be Spring Assisted, such as a Manually Operated Shutter, a Push Up Shutter or a Shutter that has been fitted with a Flange Motor.

North Valley Metal stock and supply a wide range of Spring Blocks in Cast Iron to suit Tube sizes from 4" Ø to 8" Ø and in either Castellated or Solid Rim options.

Castellated Spring Blocks have either 3 or 4 Lugs which are designed to interlock with the corresponding Barrel Gear.

All Spring Blocks are supplied with a Boss to accept the Torsion Spring which can be either a Solid Round Boss or a Ribbed Boss depending on the Torsion Spring size to be used.

Spring Blocks are offered in a range of bore sizes and types including Plain Bore, Clear Bore, fitted with Oilite Bush or fitted with a Bearing.
