Wind Locks

Wind Locks are generally used where Industrial Doors or Roller Shutter Doors are exposed to high winds or the Shutters have a wide span.The Wind Lock is designed to prevent the Shutter Curtain from 'blowing out' or 'blowing in' during poor weather conditions as the Wind Lock locates behind the special Wind Lock Guides.

NVM offer from stock, a wide range of Wind Locks to suit all shutters and environments in both Malleable Cast Iron or Steel.
Most Wind Locks are pre-drilled for Rivets, Zinc Plated and available in various sizes up to 190mm Long.

A Malleable Cast Iron Combination End Lock / Wind Lock in a Zinc Plated finish and pre-drilled with 3no Holes to suit standard Rivets is available from stock. The Combination End Lock / Wind Lock is designed to suit 3" Curved Lath and performs the same function as an End Lock and a Wind Lock.

NVM also offer a Reverse Type Wind Lock for External Fixed Roller Shutters and Industrial Doors. This Wind Lock is made from Malleable Cast Iron and Zinc Plated but not Drilled.
